Soldering gas torch

Soldering is part of every day life of the model builder. In most cases soldering irons of teh various kinds will do the job. But every now and then you will encouter a job that needs more heat than a soldering iron can apply. In that case the gas torch is the tool to use.

A typical job for the gas torch: a solid brass boiler will drain all the heat a soldering iron can possibly apply. The gas torch can easily master this.

Be extremely cautious when handling the gas torch. First the torch itself will light anything, as it is 1300C hot iginition will be instantaneous, clothing, nearby furniture, passing pets, human skin lingering around. Second the soldered object retains the heat very long. Let it coool down for a very, very long time. You wil disregard this advise only once or twice.
