Needle files

Needle files are really basic. They are available in all sort and sizes. They should have fine and regular surfaces. A good set of eight files might cost as little as € 10

A special type of files is bent. This allows you to work in tight spaces or easily work flat surfaces. I have a square, two oval and a round file and so far this covered all my needs.
