It proved to be impossible to obtain a real manual, that is, if it ever existed. In all my searches I only found a scan of a very fumbled spare parts list, which is virtually useless as spare parts are not available anymore.
A problem? No, not reaaly. The model is relatively simple so disassembly really did not pose any problems. And spare parts are available by buying a second locomotive. They are often dirt cheap.
